Private luxury, fully taken care of
At Waldeck, everything is beautifully taken care of. Your exclusive-use stay includes the privacy of the lodge, all meals by a private chef, dedicated service, daily massages, gym and sauna access, laundry, selected activities, game drives, guided walks and private airport transfers.
There is no need to sign bills or reach for your credit card. Everything flows. Only a few handpicked extras, such as helicopter transfers, rare vintage wines or bespoke off-site excursions, are charged separately. Because at Waldeck, the real luxury is not having to think about anything at all.

Payment and Cancellation
Payment & Cancellation
We’re a small, family run lodge with one simple rule: when you book, the whole property is yours. No other guests, no shared spaces, no surprises. Because we only ever host one booking at a time, we can’t fill empty beds the way a hotel does. That’s why our terms are a little firmer than you might be used to. We’ve kept everything below as clear and fair as we can.
Paying for your stay
- 25 % deposit to confirm your booking. Non-refundable.
- The remaining 75% is due 60 days before you arrive.
- Booking less than 60 days before arrival? Full payment is due straight away.
If you need to move your dates
Life happens, and we’ll always try to help.
- One complimentary date change is possible, subject to availability.
- Your new dates need to fall within 12 months of the original booking.
- Just let us know in writing as early as you can.
- Once dates have been changed, the reservation becomes non-refundable.
If you need to cancel completely
If you decide not to come at all, the following applies:
- More than 90 days before arrival: 25% of the booking value is non-refundable.
- Between 60 and 89 days before arrival: 50% is non-refundable.
- Less than 60 days before arrival: the full booking value is non-refundable.
Travelling with a smaller or larger group
Travel plans change, and group sizes shift. Should fewer guests be travelling, we are happy to reduce the booking by one room only, provided we receive written notice at least 60 days prior to arrival. Any additional room reductions will be treated in line with the cancellation terms above.
Adding guests is always welcome, and we’ll simply include them in your final bill on arrival.
Festive Season & Easter
These periods are in high demand, and a 100% cancellation fee applies once a booking is confirmed:
- Festive Season: 18 December to 6 January.
- Easter: two weeks before Easter Sunday until one week after.
Date changes are still possible during these periods, subject to availability.

- Please send all changes and cancellations to us in writing.
- Incidents of force Major will be covered by your travel insurance
- Namibian law applies to all bookings.

From Hosea Kutako International Airport
Upon leaving Hosea Kutako International Airport, take the B6 highway westward towards Windhoek. After approximately 35 km, turn left onto the C23 in the direction of Dordabis. Follow this scenic route for about 20 km until you see a sign for Waldeck Lodge and the main gate on the right. About 5 km down the well-maintained Waldeck gravel road you will find a road sign to turn left for the lodge. Continue another 5 km and you will reach Waldeck Lodge, nestled in the breathtaking Namibian landscape.
From Windhoek
Depart Windhoek via the B1, heading south in the direction of Rehoboth and South Africa. Stay on this road for about 20 km before turning left onto the D1463. Follow the gravel road for approximately 11 km, enjoying the wide-open savannah views along the way. The gate to Waldeck Lodge will be on your left. About 5 km down the well-maintained Waldeck gravel road you will find a road sign to turn left for the lodge. Continue another 5 km and you will reach Waldeck Lodge, nestled in the breathtaking Namibian landscape.
From the South (Rehoboth & Beyond)
If you’re traveling from the south, take the B1 north towards Windhoek. Approximately 70 km after passing through Rehoboth, turn left onto the D1463. Follow this gravel road for another 11 km, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the Namibian wilderness. The gate to Waldeck Lodge will be on your left. About 5 km down the well-maintained Waldeck gravel road you will find a road sign to turn left for the lodge. Continue another 5 km and you will reach Waldeck Lodge, nestled in the breathtaking Namibian landscape.
